| Thai Massage | ||
| The therapeutic benefits of Thai massage have been part of Thailand's traditional medicine for more than 1000 years. Using rhythmic, relaxed sequences of pressing, stretching, twisting, kneeding and massaging movements, tight muscles are released, stiff joints relaxed and your body is balanced imparting a sense of well being and renewed spirit. | ||
| Thai
massage flows, presses, dissolve into gentle twists... circling and
brushing into squeezes. One technique leads slowly to another, imparting
a rhythm of its own and for you, time stands still. Therapy begins with your feet, moving up your legs to your back, arms, neck, head, face, hands and fingers. Therapy lasts one to two hours leaving you relaxed, invigorated and balanced. Techniques used are individualized according to your flexibility. The masseur's hands will read the tightness and temperature of your body which will tell her what it needs and the techniques and movements to use. |

Oil Massage
|
||
| The
use of essential oils in massage is a fantastic way to maximize the
healing power of the massage itself. When combined with essential oils,
a massage can have a powerful calming or energizing effect, depending on
the oil chosen and the strokes of the masseur (quick movements will
stimulate and slow movements relax). |
||
| Foot Massage | ||
| The
theory of foot massage is simple but the practice is far more complex
because the force applied by the fingers must be very carefully and
precisely directed to a specific nerve on the foot. Each part of the
foot is reputedly linked to another, often distant, part of the body,
with influence extending not just to the muscles but also to the vital
organs as well. |
